Part 1: Driftwood collection in coastal Wales

Embark on a unique and creative journey with our Driftwood Construction Course, starting with the driftwood collection in coastal Wales. This immersive experience runs from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on your chosen date and includes:

  • Overview of possibilities: Get inspired with a wide range of driftwood project examples.

  • Outline sketching: Begin sketching ideas for your project.

  • Project planning: Plan your driftwood creation with guidance on techniques and design.

  • Basic techniques: Learn essential driftwood crafting methods.

  • Collection for first project: Collect driftwood for your first project.

The driftwood collection courses take place on the nearest Sunday to the new moon, ensuring optimal conditions for finding unique pieces. The location is approximately a 70-minute drive from Bristol. If you prefer taking the train to Wales, we can arrange to collect you from the station.

Part Two: Construction of driftwood project in the workshop

After gathering your driftwood, you’ll be invited to enrol in part two of the course, where you’ll bring your chosen project to life. This part takes place in our workshop, where you’ll receive personalised guidance from our tutors. Typical projects include a magazine rack, garden trug, or hanging planter. Dates and costs for Part Two will be discussed with your tutor based on your project needs.
